City Psychological Services At a certain point in our lives, we are faced with situations that exceed our ability to resolve. This makes it necessary to resort to psychological support and counselling. To promote the psychological well-being of anyone who is experiencing a difficult situation and/or problem. At City Psychology Center through psychotherapeutic monitoring, we intend to restore the balance and emotional stability of each person, taking into account their individuality and intervening with techniques adjusted to the problems manifested.
This therapy is not necessarily long, and in some specific situations, an immediate intervention makes it possible to identify and resolve the problem early.
In other situations, however, some changes are necessary and may take some time to be achieved, because throughout life we acquire certain patterns of functioning and mechanisms that regularly prove to be dysfunctional. Although these patterns sometimes cause us suffering and discomfort, we are already so used to them that it is necessary to review them, analyze them and predispose ourselves to modify them, but for that, it is essential to work on beliefs, thoughts, feelings and actions. This type of accompaniment allows the person to develop a privileged personal growth process with the help of the therapist, who will help him to promote these positive and significant internal changes, which will allow him to obtain a better quality of life. What is it?
Depression is a psychological disorder characterized by feelings of anguish and deep sadness. Sadness is normal, we all feel sad at some point, but when we can’t manage our emotions, our inner peace is affected and we lose the energy that moves us to live a happy life.
The word Depression derives from the Latin primer, which means “to press, to crush, to sink”. The most common feeling of a depressed person is the grief and tightness felt when we think or are in life situations that disturb and sadden us.
Depression, when left untreated, can become a spiral of distress so severe that death can seem like the only way out.
